Because we cannot be there to set this up for you, and we have no control over your local weather, wind, or soil conditions, it is ultimately up to you to determine if your assembly and anchoring of this canopy is sufficient. Set up is easiest when you have at least 4 people to assist with assembly. We are not responsible for damage to the unit sustained while erected in windy or other adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, etc. Please note as with all products of this type it is not recommended to be left up in the wind. We advise customers NEVER to leave them up overnight, particularly with the roof and side panels on when gust of winds can damage them. We cannot be responsible for such damage . All sales are final, this item is not returnable.

For the price, this canopy is great, the side walls look very nice, but it is flimsy, when I was putting it up, it happened to be VERY windy, so I took some twine and reinforced some of the legs (adding more tie downs) and it was fine. If its raining, water collects on the top, be sure to push the water off!....because if you don't, this will happen to you!I decided to cheat, and leave the canopy up for a week, since I was having two parties (one week apart. Two days before the second party, we got a nice thunderstorm....the wind wasn't the problem (since I added tie downs) lots of water collected on the top and brought the canopy crashing down, sideways. Took me an hour, but after taping the hell out of it, and bending a few of the ends that go into the plastic connectors back into shape, I got it to stand again, though it kept trying to lean to the side that it originally collapsed on. Adding some tie downs, and screwing two legs to my deck, It stood straight for the second party.I blame myself, DO NOT LEAVE THIS UP WITH THE TARP UP WHEN IT RAINS VERY HARD!!! (Unless you make sure water isn't collecting. DUring my first party, it was raining, and we would push off the water from underneath once an hour, took a few seconds) As long as its not more than 15 mph of winds, you will be fine adding some extra tie downs like I did.The design is a bit poor, the loops on the tarp where you put the tie downs look like they could easily rip off, which some of them did when it collapsed. The stakes that go in the ground are thin metal, so you are better off buying some large plastic tent stakes for reinforcement.I just took it down now, and I'm pretty sure I can use it again, there were a couple badly damaged pieces that I plan to put some old garden hose over to fix, for the 150.00 I paid for it, and being able to use it for two parties, Its worth the work to repair the few broken pieces.Don't expect a very sturdy canopy, but if you are careful, this product is worth it. I might try and contact the manufacturer to see if I can order 2-3 replacement bars that are really damaged, if not I'll manage to be able to use this many times again. The good thing about the tarp part is even though it seems a little thin, it didn't rip when it collapsed (except for one small corner at the seam, which beings that it collapsed is pretty impressive! I will just sew this part back together), a few of the loops that held the tie downs ripped too.

I have 10 photos to show what happens when a small gust of wind hit the canopy. I have 11 bent/broken/split metal pipes, one canopy Velcro tie that came off, and I am also now missing 3 metal stakes. Luckily I didn't have the sides on it because not everyone was able to be put under it, so we used it for food and shade.The metal stakes when we first put it up wouldn't stay in the ground and I found that one of my "leg covers" was put on backwards so that I couldn't Velcro it to the pole/leg correctly. We ended up using home-made wooden stacks and heavy rope to hold the frame down and the thin white string and crappy metal stacks to hold the canopy down.Would not recommend this canopy to anyone. Being as it had been put together for less then 24hrs when it came apart!I am going to try to get my money back even tho it says it is nonrefundable, because the white canopy is defective/made wrong!Was only partially refunded because the canopy leg cover was sewed on backwards.

Much cheaper than renting, and very suitable for our climate (S. Calif, winter, about 1" rain over 2-day period) and event (fancy Sweet 16, with lighting and decor hanging from ceiling in tent). Expect to use again.Pros Price -- great! Functionality -- did the job Appearance -- got lots of compliments Easy assembly (30 mins, 3 adults)Cons -- see Tips for each of these Difficult to adjust placement when erected because some parts don't "click" together and come lose In the rain, water will pool along edges if not evenly tight all around Some stickers on poles fell off with dampness of rainTips Use white duck tape to reinforce joints that don't have a click mechanism, particularly the top spine Carefully select your site, so that you don't move the erected tent more than a few yards In wind (obviously not during your event), remove the sidewalls -- these act like 'sails' In rain, regularly (every 6 hrs) check for water pooling along edges, and use a broom to push up to release the water Use a sharpy to re-label poles after use, make a diagram (some stickers fell off)Update: June 2012 -- 2nd use for a charity dinner, and again worked just fine. Light wind, no rain. We are using white duck tape to reinforce a few joints, but again, did the job!Update: May 2013 -- another 2 events since last update. Probably the last time, as some of the thin tubes are beginning to be too wobbly, even with duck tape. All in all, 4 total events, at a fraction of the rental cost. Satisfied with my purchase.
